Upper Elementary (Ages 9 - 12 years)

Upper Elementary Montessori is a program for children ages 9-12 that helps them transition from concrete to abstract learning . The program focuses on developing critical thinking, life skills, and social skills. The Montessori Curriculum is designed to be individualized yet engaging. It encourages students to explore their curiosity and make connections to the world around them.

Academic Development

Students learn to integrate skills across subjects like math, science, history, and the arts.
They learn to question "how" the universe works from a biblical Christ centered perspective.
They learn to use language creatively to express clear thoughts and ideas.
They learn to read fluently from multiple sources of literary text

Social development

Students learn to work in groups and express their opinions and perspectives respectfully.
They learn to develop and maintain individual Christ centered morals and values.
They learn to make decisions and solve problems individually and as a group.

Life skills

Students learn to use weekly planners to manage their homework and anticipate due dates
