Lower Elementary (Ages 6 - 9 years)

Lower Elementary Curriculum NMCA Elementary Montessori curriculum helps the students focus on learning through movement and working with their hands. It provides cognitive, social and emotional support in order to help the student reach their full potential. As our students enter into a new period of development in the lower elementary program, they now move from concrete to more abstract thinking. The lower Montessori elementary materials foster their creativity and imagination and are sequential, which enables the child to have a greater depth of understanding each year. The core subjects create a broad framework that invite students to explore all the traditional curriculums from the sciences, Ancient history, Bible History, Geography, Botany , Zoology, in addition to Mathematics, and Language. Within the Montessori curriculum, our students also complete their PACE workbooks in various subjects which integrate biblical principles, wisdom, and character-building concepts.

In addition to our Lower Elementary program, NMCA also offers a unique Christian Elementary Montessori program for Grades 1-3.

Advanced Practical Life Skills

Our students will also be using the Advanced Christian Education program to provide a Christian framework for the material we will be covering in our Montessori curriculum.

Our Montessori Educational program will include full time classroom instruction with an AMS and NAMC trained teacher, as well as additional instruction by a variety of additional teachers in enriched courses such as Art, Gym, French and Music.
